Ballet Manila achieved a significant milestone at the 2025 Aliw Awards, with its production of the timeless ballet Swan Lake receiving the prestigious Best Dance Production award. Principal dancer Abigail Oliveiro accepted the accolade on behalf of the company and expressed her gratitude via Instagram, praising Ballet Manila’s artistic director and CEO, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, for her leadership.
In her social media post, Oliveiro also acknowledged the contribution of guest performers from the San Francisco Ballet, emphasizing their integral role in elevating the production. The awards ceremony, marking its 38th edition, took place on December 15 at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel.
