Looc Councilor Jonathan Gaytano Supports Metro Manila Film Festival Screening
Looc Councilor Jonathan Gaytano expressed his enthusiasm for the Philippine film industry by attending a screening of one of the entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival. Accompanied by his family, Gaytano watched the film at a local cinema in Greenhills.
In a social media post, he recounted how the audience warmly applauded once the movie concluded, comparing the reaction to passengers clapping after a plane safely lands. Gaytano humorously added that even passengers who cause delays by being the last to board receive applause, highlighting the shared appreciation in different scenarios.
He wrote, "Friends, when was the last time you watched a movie? Here at Greenhills, the audience applauded at the end of the screening. It reminds me of passengers who clap when a plane lands safely. Even the last passenger who causes a delay gets applause."
Gaytano's remarks underscore his support for locally produced films and the communal experiences that cinema can create.
