Corso Como 88 Elevates Its Collection with Exquisite Murano Glass Artistry

Corso Como 88, renowned for its dedication to high-end fashion, has elevated its offerings by incorporating the timeless beauty of Murano glass into its curated selection. The boutique, known for showcasing premier European luxury brands, now features an exclusive collection of handcrafted glass art directly sourced from Venice’s famed Murano island.

Store owner Imelda Menguito expressed excitement over the expansion: "We initially launched with glass jewelry, which quickly sold out. Now, we are proud to present Murano mosaics and sculptural masterpieces in-store, with new items introduced every two months."

Murano glassmaking is a centuries-old tradition rooted in the Venetian island’s rich history. Renowned artisans mouth-blow and sculpt each piece, ensuring no two creations are identical. This artistry is often passed through families, with apprentices learning the craft from a young age.

The boutique recently celebrated this artistic milestone with its "Masque of Style" event, an elegant evening featuring Italian music, fine shopping, and Prosecco. Highlights included striking works by the late Pino Signoretto, one of the most esteemed glass artists, whose legacy is carried on by his family, merging traditional methods with contemporary design.

Menguito emphasized the unique appeal of the glassworks: "Murano glass is more than decorative—it’s wearable and livable art. Its charm lies in its uniqueness and inherent imperfections, making every piece truly one of a kind."

In addition to this artful addition, Corso Como 88 continues to offer luxury fashion labels such as Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Dior, Fendi, Prada, Gucci, and Celine, along with coveted footwear lines including Golden Goose and YSL. The boutique also features a quaint café that invites visitors to enjoy Italian coffee, wines, and pastries, creating a holistic European lifestyle experience.

Combining couture fashion with authentic Venetian craftsmanship, Corso Como 88 offers shoppers a blend of art and style, delivering a distinct taste of Italy within the city.
