Kidapawan City Delivers Free Medical Services to Over 200 Residents in Barangay Indangan
The Kidapawan City government has extended free healthcare services to more than 200 residents in Barangay Indangan as part of its community health initiative. On Friday, August 29, a total of 235 individuals benefited from the Kabarangayan Dad-an og Proyekto ug Serbisyo (KDAPS4.0) outreach program, which aims to bring essential services closer to remote communities.
A local official highlighted the importance of the program, noting that residents especially appreciated the convenience given the considerable distance of their barangay from the city center for medical needs. "This initiative is highly valued by the residents, particularly because their barangay is quite far from the central area where they usually seek treatment," the city government remarked.
The medical services provided encompassed comprehensive health checks, pharmacy provisions, and educational efforts on COVID-19 safety protocols, dengue prevention, family planning, monkeypox awareness, dental care, nutritional assessments, ultrasound screenings, and laboratory tests.
Following the success in Barangay Indangan, the city plans to roll out the KDAPS4.0 program to other barangays, continuing its commitment to accessible healthcare for all constituents.
